The demo challenge this week is to create a square card using the bleach technique. To bleach small areas you need to emboss the image and either use an aquapainter filled with bleach (LABEL your aquapainter if you do this – really, trust me!) or put some bleach in a small plastic container and pick it up with a paint brush. I have done both, but for this card I used the paint brush. I have a small sandwich container that I use ONLY for bleach – yes, I marked it!
The base of this card is the textured Groovy Guava cut 6 x 12 and folded in half and stamped in Classic Ruby Red ink (Embrace Life) The Ruby Red is cut 6 x 2 3/4 and stamped in Ruby Red Craft ink and clear embossed. I poured some bleach into my container and just painted it on with my SU paint brush. The layout is a complete case – I just changed the colors and embellishments. To make the flower I used 2 flowers from the Pretties Kit and folded them in half (with mini glue dots in the middle) I used a half pearl from the kit for the center. Then I took my blender pen and pulled some Groovy Guava ink out from the center of the flower. The ribbon is the Double Stitched Groovy Guava ribbon. I layered this on a 6 x 3 piece of Old Olive and stamped the sentiment. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
