Birthday Loads of Love

My youngest turned 17 on Monday – Yikes!  This card is inspired by a store bought card you received.  The first thing she said when she opened it was “You could make this, Mom!”  So here’s my version –

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Loads of Love, Playful Pieces
cardstock – Shimmery White, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzazz DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue
Stampin’ Write Markers – Bashful Blue, Basic Gray, Blush Blossoms, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip
Ect – Silver paint pen, Basic Rhinestones, 1/8 taffeta in Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White, sponge, Two Step Large Bird punch (scarf !), Itty Bitty flower punch, 1/4″ circle punch, Dazzling Diamonds

This is a 3 x 6 card.  The packages are attached to a 1/2″ wide strip of card stock just I could stack them and attach them to the truck.  The presents are stamped with the different rectangle shapes in Playful pieces and then cut to various sizes.  I would suggest stacking them – then measuring them against your card – then trimming to fit.  I was over ambitious and had to trim off 3 1/2 packages!

The clouds were done in a haphazard way.  I free handed a cloud out of a scrap that was laying on my table and lightly sponged around it a couple of time!  Very technical!  The Melon Mambo scarf is the Bird Punch (the leaf stem) that I trimmed in half.  You could free hand it just as easily!  I added a bit of bling with jewels on the hubcaps and Dazzling Diamonds – ready to go!  Here’s a side view so you can see how it’s “popped up.”

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
