The color challenge for today is Real Red, Ballet Blue and Apricot Appeal. So the first thing I did was grab the new set A Good Egg and start decorating an easter egg in these colors. Nothing. Well, something, but not worth the effort! As I was working on the egg I thought that one of signs in It’s a Sign would look good in the Real Red and Ballet Blue – toss the egg – and made this instead.
It’s the same layout as the other that I did with this set – and is a case from the catalog. To make the line in the road I punched the Basic Black with the little rectangle punch and put Apricot Appeal (of course!) behind it! I don’t think this officially make the grade for the color challenge put I got a good laugh!
And then my mind was wandering again! If I can make a country scene – how about a downtown scene?
I made the windows in the buildings with the double rectangle punch and the spot light was done by cutting a mask and wiping Yo Yo Yellow Craft ink on the open area. And guess what? This one really does qualify for LAST week’s color challenge which was Basic Gray, Going Gray and Yo Yo Yellow! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Both of these turned out great, Fran!! Such fun!!
I love them both!! I especially love the yellow lines in the road! Too cute!
Fran – U ROCK! That city scape is fantastic (and the other sign, too, of course), but how cool! TFS
These road sign cards are just too cute — and sooooo clever!
TFS!
