Florentine Filigree

This was one of the new sets in the Spring Catalog that I had to have! Florentine Filigree is a bundle that includes the die and stamp set. A Stamparatus is very helpful with this bundle because it’s already set up to stamp with the correct spacing by moving the stamp down hinge, by hinge. I did mine in Pool Party and stamped the larger image in Versamark and white heat embossed, and the smaller image in Pool Party. So pretty! Hugs, Fran

Butterfly Gala Ornament

So here’s something different – a butterfly ornament! This was easy to do. You need a craft style ornament, an old book or light weight paper, Mod Podge, and a butterfly punched from the Saleabration paper, Botanical Butterfly. Tear the book pages into small -ish strips and dip them into the Mod Podge. Cove the ornament with them, smoothing as you go. Get your butterfly covered with Mod Podge and adhere it to the ornament. Let dry. I went around the edge of the butterfly with Stickles to make sure the edges stayed put. Add a ribbon and display or gift! Hugs, Fran

Sneak Peek – Karen Burniston Ice Cream Sundae

Another sneak peek of a new die from Karen Burniston! This 5 x 5 card uses Happy Birthday on the front – and lots of foil paper which doesn’t photograph very well at all! The paper is the new How Sweet It Is from Stampin Up,

It’s an Ice Cream Sundae on the inside! Isn’t it cute? The movement as it opens is amazing!

The bowl and spoon dies create some really nice embossing. You might also spy some new border dies 🙂 Yep – they’re coming too! Hugs, Fran

Meant to Be Treats

How about some treat packaging for Valentines Day? I started with the new All My Love DSP and die cut it using the Petite Treats die with the heart topper. Then I stamped the heart from Meant to Be, added some color and a cute sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings. There’s a frame heart that I die cut and added around the heart and glued it to the treat.

It’s super cute and holds quite a bit! And it’s easy to make up so you can make lots of them. Hugs, Fran

Special Animal Outing

I used the Stampin Up Animal Outing set with the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die to create this birthday card. You turn the spinner and the sentiment changes. The rhino is colored is Copics and the balloon is the punch.

Just something fun for someone special 🙂 Hugs, Fran

Magical Mermaid Alcohol Lift

Here’s the Stampin Up set Magical Mermaid with an alcohol ink background. I dropped alcohol inks on my paper, used Some alcohol blending solutions to move it around – and kept playing until I liked the results!

On this one, I did the same thing using only blue alcohol inks. Then I stamped it with some Alcohol Lift ink. It removes the ink from the paper. You can get two prints from this technique if you immediately stamp another piece of paper with the stamp. I would show you that piece if I hadn’t spilled coffee on it! Anyway……It’s fun to play! The mermaids were colored with Stampin Blends and the tail was coated with Shimmer pen. Hugs, Fran

SAB Hello Cupcake

I love this case of Hello Cupcake – and you can get it for free during Saleabration! This is an easy card with a big look. I used Highland Heather for the base and mat. The sentiment is stamped with Gorgeous Grape and the cupcake is fussy cut. That little piece of vellum keeps the focus on the image. We made this card in class last week and used some of the purple glitter dots instead of the clear gems. So cute! Hugs, Fran

Humming Along

This is a catalog case of Humming Along from the Occasions catalog. It’s done on a notecard (3 1/2 x 5) and uses the Balmy Blue gingham paper for the background. The flower is colored with Stampin Blends and matted on strips of the Flax ribbon. I added a few jewels to finish it off. Hugs, Fran

Serene Garden

Here’s another version of Serene Garden, using the stamp set to make the “mat” around the image. The images were stamped, colored with Stampin Blends, and die cut to pop up.

I added some clear dots to the front – simply because I love them 🙂 Hugs, Fran
