Winter Lodge

Well it is really, really cold around here so I thought an SVGcuts.com Winter Lodge was a good thing! This is an e-cutter pattern and it’s amazing – and huge! I think it’s about 2 feet long!

It was hard to photograph but easy to assemble. Just takes some time – but with this cold weather, that’s fine! The roof comes off so you can add lights or even a gift! Hugs, Fran

Beauty Abounds in Color

I will say it again – I love this die! Today I die cut the Butterfly die from the Occasions catalog from a piece of white card stock that I had ink blended with soft colors of dye ink. Balmy Blue, Lemon Lime Twist, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. I added black over the top and put it on some black checked paper. Then I added some sequins 🙂 The colors just pop! Hugs, Fran

Birthday Cheer

This card is made with the Birthday Cheer bundle. The cupcakes are a die that cut the design on the edge of the yardstick. I used Coastal Cabana to go with the How Sweet It Is DSP from the Occasions catalog and inlaid the frosting and cherries /hearts. I added a few clear sequins to bling it up. Hugs, Fran

This Little Piggy

This little card has a little story! I made some card strips with new colors during the color change in June. These are some of the left over strips. I just made a pattern on the card and added the cute Pig from This Little Piggy and a sentiment. It’s a 4 x 4 card – great for a little note! Hugs, Fran

Got the Sniffles?

Thought I sneak in another Karen Burniston Circle Charm card using the Get Well Charms. Since everyone around here is sniffling and sneezing it seemed appropriate!

Aren’t these germs cute? Whoever thought I’d say that? But they are a great way to let someone know that you’re thinking of them.

I added some googly eyes to my germs just for fun! Hope you are well 🙂 Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Garden Charms

This is a new die from Karen Burniston called Garden Charms. I paired it with the Circle Charm Die.

I die cut the Garden Charms in white and colored them my Copic markers. I even added a little border on the sides with the new Border Blends Party die.

Behind the center circle I added a piece of window sheet just to give it a bit more stability. Really fun to make! Hugs, Fran

Bee Thankful

This little card is so cute – and took way longer than it should have! I wanted to pop up some of the letters and the bee, so I stamped it twice. Once on the card and once on some scrap. I colored both images with Copic markers and added some designs to the coloring with a white gel pen. Then I cut out the letters to pop up and the bee. Some Pool Party DSP at the bottom finished it off. It took me so long to finish because I colored one and then realized I needed to color two – so I had to duplicate what I had already done! Hugs, Fran

Wonderful Romance

This is a case of the Wonderful Romance stamp and die in the Occasions catalog. There are so many great dies in this set – but the border die is amazing! It gives you the lattice and leaves in one die! I watercolored the main pieces, die cut them and stacked them all together in a some what copy of the catalog. Lots going on on this card, but it was worth it. Hugs, Fran

Beautiful Day Dreams

I was playing with the butterfly in the Beautiful Day set and came up with these backgrounds. Starting with watercolor paper, I stamped an old background in Soft Suede and then stamped the butterfly with water only. The magic happens when you sprinkle Brusho over the water stamped images. Do this slowly – meaning add a color, let it “do it’s thing” and then add your next color. Then I tilted the paper to the side to let the Brushos run and spread the colors around. Because I used blue and orange on this piece (and blue and orange make brown) I did one butterfly, let it dry, and then did the next one. I added a beautiful, but retired, sentiment from Verve.

For this card I started with the new Crackle background on watercolor paper. I stamped the butterflies in water and added blue and yellow Brushos. This is really addicting 🙂 Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Woven Basket

This is a really fun new die from Karen Burniston – Woven Basket. It’s a box card, fold flat and makes a wonderful card!

When you pop the card into it’s box position you have a 3-D bouquet! It’s super easy to put together too.

When you collapse it, it fits nicely in an envelope. These dies will be available for purchase at the end of the month 🙂 Hugs, Fran
