Here are the treat boxes I put in the Easter baskets yesterday. The pattern can be found here.
All the bases are Certainly Celery and the tops are Blush Blossom, Barely Banana and Almost Amethyst. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran

Sktech Challenge
I’ve yet to use the Riot of Petals as a background stamp! It’s just too pretty! This is for the sketch challenge on Splitcoast. The DSP is from Porcelain Print and each piece is cut 3 x 1 7/8 with a little tiny bit cut off of one end! It’s then mounted on a piece of Blue Bayou 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 with the long edges distressed. I stamped the image in Jet Black Stazon and used a blender and ink to watercolor it. That’s mounted on River Rock – again distressed – and I added a piece of the Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon. All of this is on a Wild Wasabi card that is paper pierced above and below the DSP. The sentiment was stamped directly on the paper. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Casing, casing, casing and more
Joan at Paperlicious has another blog that lists SU only blogs – and she was kind enough to feature my blog today! Check out both of her sites! You’ll love them!
I did some Caseing yesterday (Copy and Share Everything – or Steal Everything if you’re in a bad mood!) The first one is some bunny candy holders originally created by Diane. They are scallop punches decorated with Pick A Petal Ears! She used Peppermint Patties between hers – I used something called Bunny Munny.
Then I found this gorgeous card created by Amy (all her things are gorgeous!) I don’t have the paper she used so I stamped the background using Baroque Motifs in River Rock, then again in Versamark embossed with clear. I used Bashful Blue ink on a sponge and sponged around the design. Then I embossed again in gold. I ended up embossing the tag punched piece in gold – the poor card just wasn’t going to take any more embossing on the front (I tried!)
Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Just a Little Bit More
Here’s a card using A Little Birdie Told me and a scallop cut in half to make “wings” on each side. It’s cute, but kind of plain so I decided to dress it up a bit.
By just stamping the Certainly Celery at the top I gave him a bit more character (I think!) The birdie is colored with the Pure Color pencils – haven’t used them in a while and forgot how much I enjoy them! Here they are side by side so you can see the difference just a little more stamping can make!
The ribbon is the Bashful Blue striped grosgrain. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Coaster Album
Things are nuts around here – but I do have some projects to share with you! Here’s a coaster album that I made for Samantha as a keepsake for her last show. The pictures are mostly candids of her friends backstage and by printing them out as 4 x 6’s I was able to cut them out with the Coluzzle and mount them on circles of card stock. The little journaling circle is from Enjoy Every Moment. The DSP is Cutie Pie. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Gift Tag
I found a mug at Starbucks that is perfect for Samantha’s French teacher for the end of the school year! It says “Good Morning” in lots of different languages – and is in Old Olive, Really Rust and Chocolate Chip! (Okay – I usually don’t do things this far in advance, but I just couldn’t pass this up!) I made a tag for it using the SOON TO BE OVER Merci set.
The Old Olive base is 3 1/2 x 6 1/2 folded in half, 3 1/4 x 3 Chocolate Chip layer and a 2 3/4 x 3 piece of watercolor paper. I watercolored using my aquapainter in Really Rust, Old Olive and Bashful Blue – and highlighted with my Really Rust, Old Olive and Bordering Blue Stampin Write Markers. The “Merci” is punched out with the small oval punch and adhered inside the oval frame. Then I stamped the butterfly on Vellum card stock, bent the wings with my bone folder and adhered just the center to the butterfly.
Now – can someone tell me how to write “Thanks for being my teacher” in French? (I’d sure hate to get THAT wrong! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
A Little Bit of Happiness
Here’s a cute card based on the box on page 20 of the Spring/Summer catalog. The set is a level 1 hostess set – A Little Bit of Happiness. I love how they used the Hodgepodge Hardware to accent a part of the stamped image so I tried it on the card. The paper is the Cutie Pie DSP.
The DSP is already designed in different patterns so there is really nothing more here than a mat around the stamped image. Color the flowers with the Stampin’ Write Markers, adhere the hardware and it’s finished. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Friendship Blooms
There’s only 12 days left of Sale a bration! Don’t miss earning this stamp set for free! This card is Purely Pomegranate – though it photographed kind of orange-ish, sorry. The leaves are Wild Wasabi and it’s set off with Basic Black. All the images, except the leaves are stamped in black and a rhinestone brad sets off the flower nicely. This was a club project in February – easy and pretty – my favorite kind! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Scrappin’
This is the layout we did in Scrap Club last month – without journaling because I’m not allowed to share that with you! (Ahhhh – teenagers!) The background paper is River Rock DSP and the accents are Night of Navy and Shimmery White card stock. The flowers are rub ons with rhinestone brad center. The leaves were made by cutting apart the petals on the big flower punch. To make the title block, I cut an oval with my Coluzzle, stamped the title (Lovely Letters with a hand written sub title) and then decided it was too big! So the cut off the top and bottom with my paper cutter! The NON is wheeled with the Swirly jumbo wheel.
I am in the process of putting my franticstampers website back up – so bear with me while I reload all the files! This could take a while but I did put most of the tutorials back up first. If there is something you need or want to see up quickly – drop me a line. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Seriously
Patty asked if you can use rub ons on real eggs (see the post below to use them on plastic eggs) and the answer is yes. On page 27 of the Spring/Summer catalog is a picture of them on dyed eggs. Keep in mind that the eggs need to be very dry for the rub ons to adhere nicely. *This goes for stamping too – if you use a rub on over a stamped image, you must wait for the ink to dry completely or the rub on won’t stick. Use your heat gun if you have any doubts.
Today’s card was made for a teenage girl using the Seriously Sassy stamp set, Tempting Turquoise DSP and card stock and Cameo Coral. The color combo came from the Color Wheel.
The layout is based on Beates Weekend Sketch Challenge. Inside it says “you’re absolutely fabulous!” It is much brighter in real life! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
