A little Halloween Baker’s Box to fill with treats! The Baker’s Box is so easy to put together! The spider is an svg file from Miss Katie’s Cuttables with some extra circles added to the eyes – and some fun google eyes! On the bottom, I used the scallop border punch and added more eyes. The ribbon on the top is tied to one of the handles and the clothespin keeps the box shut. That way you can open it without having to untie the ribbon. Just something fun 🙂 Hugs, Fran
Is it too early for Halloween?
1. Cut a piece of black card stock 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 and fold it in half to create your base.
2. Cut 2 pieces of Happy Haunting DSP Halloween paper (Holiday Mini catalog!) 3 3/8 x 5 1/4 and adhere to the inside.
3. Place your Rectangular Pull Card die, matching the alignment tab, and cut out.
4. Die cut and assemble Poppy the Owl making him as cute or scary as you’d like. Die cut 2 All Seasons Trees from black card stock. Cut two 2″ circles from white or vanilla.
5. Trim off most of the branches from the trees (do them at the same time so they match) and adhere one to the front of the card to create a branch. Add the circle as the moon and place Poppy on the branch.
6. Make 5 “bats” from the bow tie die in Props 2. Die cut the bow ties and use a hand held punch to punch the bottom of the wings. Karen also has a little tutorial on creating bats from Cocoa the Horse’s hair!
7. Match up the second branch to the inside left of your card. Adhere a moon to the spinner on the inside and decorate with bats and die cut words using Alphabet 1 or Peel Off stickers!
Cute or scary, it’s fun! Hugs, Fran
Need a quick trick for Halloween festivities this week? How about a cute witch broom? I used a 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Crushed Curry and cut the long edge with my fringed scissors. Wrap it around a 1 x 8 cello bag filled with treats and tie it up with Baked Brown Sugar twine. To keep the cello bag closed, stamp an image from Tee Hee Hee, punch it out and attach it over the closure of the bag.
Very cute, very fast – a perfect combo when you need something right now! Hugs, Fran
This little ghost is strolling through the pumpkin patch to wish you a Happy Halloween. The background is done with the double time technique using Mingle All The Way from the Holiday mini in White Craft ink. The ghost from Fall Fest is embossed with White embossing powder on Basic Black card stock and die cut using the matching dies. The pumpkins are stamped in Tangerine Tango on Whisper White card stock and die cut, along with a few leaves. More fun than spooky, but your trick or treaters will enjoy the fun look!
Stamp Sets – Mingle All the Way, Fall Fest
Card stock – Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Old Olive
Ink – White craft, Tangerine Tango, Memento Tux Black, Old Olive
Etc – Fall Fest Framelit dies, Flag Punch, Neutral Candy Dots

This Splitcoast Creative Crew Challenge is to make an ensemble using washi tape. I decide to continue on with Halloween and made a card and Gift Card Enclosure using Tee Hee Hee and Frightful Wreath along with the beautiful Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape. Here’s the card –
and here’s the Gift Card Enclosure –
The Gift Card Enclosures can be found in the main catalog and look like this on the other side –
You can find these projects, along with lots of other great ideas, in the Splitcoast Creative Crew gallery. Play along by creating a washi tape ensemble! Hugs, Fran
Happy October! One of the Creative Crew challenges at Splitcoast this month is a Halloween/Fall Focus. I did a Fry box created with the Motley Crew Designer Series paper and Ghoulish Greetings. The Fry Box die is one of the easiest dies out there – die cut, adhere on the sides and decorate. I embellished the sentiment with googlie eyes on the sides and decorated the polka dot cello bag with googlie eyes too.
Not much of a Halloween fan or need a Fall treat? I flipped the DSP so that the just the leaves on the trees were showing and made a Fall Fry box.
The sentiment is from Gratitude For Days and the embellishment on the top is 3 Autumn Wooden Embellishments colored with ink pads and glued together.
I hope you’ll take some time to hop over to the Creative Crew Gallery for October and see all the wonderful creations. Want to play along? Create a Halloween or Fall project and upload it using CCREW1014HF in the keyword section. Hugs, Fran
Trick or Treat – but we all know we want treats! This is a Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bag that has been scored to make it stand it. I add a tag from Merry Everything and some bats from Project Life Holiday Cheer to make it scary. Add a circle punch and hang the tag from a band on the top.
Stamp Sets – Merry Everything, Project Life Holiday Cheer
Card stock – Whisper White
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Polka Dot Tag a Bag, 2″ circle punch, Note Tag Punch
Happy Halloween crafting! Hugs, Fran
Here’s another Halloween idea using Karen Burniston’s House Pivot die and Stampin Up’s Holiday Home. The tree and clouds are from Karen’s Garden Bench set. (The clouds are really suppose to be snow)
The sentiment inside is from Ghoulish Greetings. Lots of black – making it hard to see the details in the photograph.
Stamp Sets – Holiday Home, Ghoulish Greetings
Card stock – Basic Black, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Ink – Basic Gray, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, White Craft
Etc – Pop It Ups House Pivot and Garden Bench dies, Homemade Holiday Framelit die, Circle Framelits

Here’s Poppy hanging out for Karen Burniston’s September Challenge! He’s sitting on an Oval Accordion die just waiting for the fun to begin! The sentiment is from Stampin Up’s Tee Hee Hee and it says “People call me a witch…..like it’s a bad thing.” Too funny! I used Karen’s Cloud Edges die for the edges.
Stamp Set – Tee Hee Hee
Card stock – Smokey Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, So Saffron, Motley Monsters DSP
Ink – Momento Tux Black
Etc – Karen Burniston’s Poppy ,Oval Accordion and Cloud Edge dies
Have you checked out the other Halloween designs for this challenge? You’ll be amazed at what the team has done! Hugs, Fran
It suddenly turned Fall around here this weekend! A perfect time for Karen Burniston’s Halloween challenge – and a great time to start creating those spooky creations. I used the Accordion Circle die with the solid edge and the new Tee Hee Hee set from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini. On the front, the cauldron, bubbling away. (Those bubbles are some old floral/vase fillers)
Do you think the witch was doing her laundry before the big day? Or just conjuring up her spooky attire?
Stamp Set – Tee Hee Hee
Card stock – Basic Black, Whisper White, Back to Black DSP
Ink – Memento Tux Black, Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz
Etc – Karen Burniston Accordion Circle die, Pear Pizzazz ribbon
There will be lots of spooky inspiration on Karen’s Facebook page. Grab your broom and head over to see what the other designers have created! Hugs, Fran
