The Karen Burniston Designer Challenge this month is to do an “artsy” card and a “cute” card. This is my artsy card, using World of Dreams stamp set and Typeset Designer Series paper and the Double High technique. Since this paper is very light (book page) I decided to paint it with acrylic paint to add some heft, and then splattered it with black ink. I embossed the image on the front with black embossing powder, added some Crumb Cake seam binding, washi tape, some punches from the Bird Builder punch and a button.
On the inside I used a Happy Birthday sticker and the ECD die Berry Branch. Fun to make – and hard to quit adding things to it! I hope you’ll check out all the projects on Karen’s Facebook page. Hugs, Fran
On this card I used I Love Lace on the background and then stamped the leaf design from World of Dreams. For the center image, I stamped some leaves in Crumb Cake and the main image in Early Espresso.
Stamp Sets – World of Dreams, I Love Lace
Card stock – Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Early Espresso

There are so many sentiments that you could use on this card – no to mention colors. Hugs, Fran
Hoppy is one of Karen Burniston’s new Character dies! Isn’t he cute? And the flies are included I put him on her new Ring Accordion Album featuring the SU’s new Flowerpot Designer Series paper. The beautiful sentiment is from World of Dreams.
