It’s challenge time with Crazies! This week the challenge is to create a card to celebrate Grandparents Day. I used Karen Burniston’s Oval Accordion, Saturated Canary’s Hair image and Stampin Up’s Bloom With Hope sentiment and English Garden Designer Series paper.
The image was colored with Copics and the Happy Grandparents Day was computer generated. Make sure to check out the other cards for this challenge! Hugs, Fran
Still snowed in so I’m playing with my Copic Markers. This image is Saturated Canary’s Willow. I used the Park Lane Designer Series paper and Karen Burniston’s Pop It Ups Rectangular Pull Card and Paris Edges dies to create the card. The wonderful thing about using this die is that these images fit perfectly on the front. So my practice pieces don’t just sit in a pile – they become cards.
On the inside I used a sentiment from Bloom with Hope. There are some very beautiful sayings in this set – but this one is my favorite. Hugs, Fran
One of the Copic classes I took at Kit and Clowder is a Whimsical Project class. This is one of the images from TiddlyInks, Fairy Sunny, that we colored. I put it on a Pop It Ups Rectangular Accordion Album die by Karen Burniston and it fit perfectly! I love when I can use my practice images! The card is cut from Soft Sky cardstock and has a Whisper White Katie Label Flourish Edge die from Pop It Ups around it.
On the inside I used a sentiment from the hostess set Bloom with Hope. It’s my favorite sentiment! “When my mind wanders, I eventually find it thinking of you.” So perfect for so many things!
I love that the image fit on this die – and I love being able to use it for something other than my
pile collection of practice pieces! Hugs, Fran
Here’s another Splitcoast Creative Crew challenge card. The challenge is to create a card for Grandparents Day with a vintage look. When I think of my grandparents, I think “amazing” – so Lovely Romance was the stamp set!
First I embossed the Very Vanilla with the Beautifully Baroque stamp set, then stamped I Love Lace over the top. The next Vanilla layer is Postcard with Lovely Romance – and it’s topped with Bloom with Hope and the sentiment from Lovely Romance.
Stamp Sets – Lovely Romance, I Love Lace, Postcard, Bloom with Hope
Card stock – Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Ink – Early Espresso,Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette
Etc – Beautifully Baroque and Fan embossing folder, lace, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz Stampin Write Markers, pearls
You can play along with this month’s challenges here! Hugs, Fran
You are going to WANT to have a party! This set is one of the hostess sets that will be available in the new Annual Catalog. It’s called Bloom With Hope and has 11 stamps – flowers and sentiments – that are just waiting to be colored with your new Blendabilites. I did this one with the Cherry Cobbler markers. Do you see the new Mossy Meadow In Color card stock? Beautiful!

This is a 2 in 1 sneak peek! The stamp set is called Blended Blooms and it’s colored with the Blendabilities – SU’s new alcohol markers. The sentiment is from an awesome new hostess set called Bloom with Hope. (so I guess you’re really getting 3 in 1!)
The Blendabilities come in a color set of three – a light, true color and dark, I’m working on a review/comparison on them and will post it soon. The set used here is Daffodil Delight.
